This is a bit of a weird comparison but some of this sounds like Alex G doing Lonerism/Innerspeaker

 

Entertainment, Death is so damn good. i like how the middle of the album kinda flows together as a medley, from Wrong Circle to Wake Up (In Rotation). also really dig the lyrics.

 

God this rules

 

"Wrong Circle" reminds me of the Postal Service. Agree with the OPN comparison

 

i think animal collective is apt comparison in how they deconstruct a song. Its like they take an Alex G song and rip apart every inch of it and reconstructs it with toys and whatever the else is their in vicinity. There are so many sounds and instruments that will show up for a single melody in a song then disappear and never show up again.

Yeah this was wild from the get-go, it may have taken a little time to fully click with me but it's pretty unbelievable

 

Wrong circle is the standout for me

cool song. the beginning reminds me of porches

 

“RAPID AND COMPLETE RECOVERY” is a Broken Social Scene song. Would literally fit on Hug of Thunder seamlessly.

 

the little volume dip in "It Might Take Some Time" gets me every time. I always look at my phone to see if I have a text or something lol

 

If you like this I recommend the new Undo K From Hot record. Reminds me a lot of this record in terms of abrasiveness.
