Exactly two tracks in and this is rather incredible.

 

Far from a perfect comparison, and I don't mean this as a knock on Magic, but this is surprisingly not extremely far off from what I was hoping for from the last OPN album.

Edit: Definitely takes a different turn halfway through. Still excellent.

Popping in to say this is excellent and exceeding all my expectations

 

This is a wild record and I'm all here for it.

 

Yes this sounds great! I liked the previous two albums but I think I will get to love this one!

 

I don’t think they sound like Animal Collective (though I think sometimes there is a definite influence and moments ie “GIVE UP YOUR LIFE”) but they are challenging and exciting in a very similar way. I am speaking to my personal experience listening to both bands.

but really it just sounds like the weirdest Beatles impulses turned up to 20.
