The new Mint Julep album is out today and absolutely rules

 

I keep meaning to check them out

 

This seems like their best album yet IMO. Feels like a return to form with more confidence. I liked their first one a lot (Save Your Season) and I remember their REALLY early days when they put out an ambient-leaning demo which was great... no longer on streaming tho. I never got too into Broken Devotion and Stray Fantasies though I remember them being pretty good on initial listen. This new one is impeccable on first listen, probably not a bad place to start with them.

The husband of the duo--who releases music as Helios--put out a serenely gorgeous synth drone record last year if you're into that sort of thing.

Streaming services upload? That's not a promo for new music.

 

From a post I saw on Reddit, they’re putting the whole catalog on streaming, reissuing said catalog on physical formats, and late summer/early fall, we’re supposedly getting a new single with the long awaited new album finally coming out. Big grain of salt to take though.

 

Hope it’s coming to streaming. Got it downloaded onto my laptop, but not my phone.

 

I want the remastered version of Loveless and MBV on Spotify so damn bad.

Well, looks like the Reddit post was right, mbv is on Spotify at last

Looks like the only addition on US Spotify is mbv but that’s what I’ve wanted on there for a long time now so still happy and especially happy for the Euro folks in here.

 

Never listened to mbv lol. Whats a good place to start?

Yeah, Loveless for sure. It’s the genre’s crown jewel for a reason.

 

And they don't have a huge catalog. If you like Loveless, just listen to the EPs and other albums.
