Got two people into this band today. I did nothing at work, yet I feel an extreme sense of accomplishment.

 

Thurisaz has such a good chorus, one of their best

 

Any update on the vinyl shipping soon?

This is only one of two records I’ve bought this year. The other one being the God of War OST from Mondo. Cutting back on vinyl purchases.

I'm getting Simple Stereo to add a Cardinals EP and an In The House of Dust CD/DVD to my order, have asked them to get back to me when they're ready to ship out the shrine LPs.

 

The only reason that I needed to know about the vinyl shipping date is because I am moving in two weeks.

 

You should get at them and see if they can change the shipping address, you'll probably get a response within two weeks even if their communication isn't great.

 

Would anyone like to write a paragraph blurb for our "best of 2018 so far" list we're compiling? If so, please let me know asap. We'd include it on our list running next week.

 

i’ll do it if no one else does. it’s not in my top 15 so i wouldn’t want to take it over someone who loves this, but i do enjoy it

This should definitely make the list. I had this record on today. It’s very professional for such an indie band who don’t get to do this full time. Music, lyrics, vocals, production, and album art. This album and band don’t have any weak or low points so far in their history.

 

Thanks for the heads up, I would gladly do it if he’s still looking. This is one of my top 2 records this year.

Way to represent the Wolves. Also, Brian Fallon at #1 is so right. Shrine would have been higher for me, but seeing them on that list is a definite accomplishment for the band and it’s fans.

 

Love seeing Animal Flag on there too. Don't sleep on that album @.K.

 

Gave it a listen. I like Why?, and I liked some songs off their previous record.

Second-hand or entry-level players are easy to come by these days :) I know people who collect records for the aesthetic/to support bands they like via the physical medium, but it's nice to be able to play them too!

shame they couldn't press the full 13-track record on a nice double LP package considering how into the whole 'elaborate packaging' thing they are but it's definitely a record worth getting out on wax
