Wow. Completely exceeded my expectations. Planting the trivia answers was so unreal. And then the guy's reaction...so fucking unhinged. Nathan took it like a champ. He really is the only one that could pull something like this off.

"I think you're a great guy."

Still wasn't entirely sure how this show would play out, and thought it was one event for the entire series, not different ones played out over each week. So incredible though. Giving him the trivia answers without really giving him the answers was by far my favorite part of the show.

"How moldy is too moldy" had me in tears

 

This was great. I’m not really a huge Nathan For You fan outside a couple standout episodes, but this had a nice emotional weight to it that landed for me.

 

That was the actor not Kor. The bit was Nathan couldn’t go through with his own confession and just told him he was great instead. It took me a second to realize because of the way they cut it so fast but it wasn’t Kor

 

It’s day like these I curse the Chinese for inventing gunpowder had me on the floor

 

The "my daughter's name is Tricia" bit reminded me of Larry David selling cars (sorry for gross quality)

 

Holy shit lol this makes so much more sense wrt how that scene played out

 

I thought that was a pretty clear cut between the two.

 

If the shot of Nathan walking down the street in the Thrifty Boy outfit doesn’t become as popular as him in the oversized suit on NFY I’m gonna riot. And obviously the whole trivia question planting scene is sublime. What an opening episode. So happy to have him back.

 

This is so good

 

Little moment that made me laugh really hard: When Nathan tells Kor that he needs to learn to create a good segue in the conversation if his friend is dominating it and he says OK, and then in practice the actor starts talking about something random and Kor just yells "My whole academic life is a fraud!" or whatever. So good.

This had funny moments but they felt too stretched out to me. A 30 minute episode probably could have gotten more consistent laughs out of me

 

Truly incredible.

 

Absolutely lost it at the actors response to Nathan revealing he cheated. This was great. Not as cringy as NFY which I appreciate

 

The woman next week looks psychotic

 

I can’t believe this was capable of even meeting my expectations, yet it exceeded them
