It’s also wild to me this was filmed pre covid

 

The whole fakeout confession at the end was the hardest I’ve laughed in a very long time

 

I am so glad that this is just Nathan For You 2.0

 

I now understand why he HBO was the only network he could do this for. Needed to use that Game of Thrones money.

 

That bar replica was wildly accurate.

 

My heart was beating fast and I was so nervous for the guy when it was actually happening.
This exceeded my expectations. Nathan is a genius.

My palms were covering my mouth the entire time lol. When he brought up that something had been on his mind and then the bell went off for the food I literally yelled BRO FORGET ABOUT THE PIZZA

 

But yeah really enjoyed this, laughed a little less than the average NFY episode, but the concept of tackling expectations vs reality in a way that may directly alter your relationship with a loved one is a kinda profound layer that I didn’t really expect going in. This particular episode felt a little low stakes but I do wonder how emotional they’ll tread going forward

 

I lost it at “It’s days like this I curse the Chinese for inventing gun powder”.

 

Did not expect this to be so anxiety inducing.

 

He has a brilliant and unhinged mind

I watched about half of this episode with my mouth wide open in shock. Just unbelievable

 

Unbelievable TV, just fantastic and unique and amazing

 

Once his Showtime show gets running we might Fielder projects airing close to 50% of the year. We're nearing the Nathanscence.
