I’ve always been a punk fan actually, I’m just not as well-versed about it as some of you guys. I know these guys from back in the day from a snowboarding or skateboarding tape soundtrack, haha.

 

The Descendents are the OG pop punk band.

they're basically the Ramones of our generation, yet still super underrated

 

I don’t know if they are on the same level as the Ramones but yes, highly influential and also underrated, especially considering Bill coming from Black Flag. Although, I think they lost a lot of steam when Milo left and they tried to push on without him and the whole ALL thing.

 

Descendents are better than ALL, for sure, but ALL had some jaaaaams. "Million Bucks" is one of my favorite Descendents adjacent songs.

 

Breaking Things is a dope ALL album

 

definitely not as much of a legacy as black flag or a single album as good as damaged or my war but as an entire career they’ve been much better. it isn’t really close
