The Predator (Shane Black, September 14, 2018) Movie

Wait the guy that wrote this is the same guy who wrote Monster Squad? I'm already IN.

On a related note, I need to get Monster Squad on DVD.

 

This has so much damn potential to be great. Looking forward to how it pans out.

Forgot about this. Such a good year for big, fun movies.

There's not much coming out in August, but there's not much coming out in Sept either. I really hope this is good.

 

I've really enjoyed all 3 Shane Black-directed films I've seen, so the odds of me not digging this are pretty slim. Even Iron Man 3, which was infamously restricted by Ike Perlmutter, is a movie that I quite enjoy revisiting, so even if this falls short of potential, I bet I'll find a lot to like in it. Helps to have a pretty solid cast.

 

The reason for the sudden delay is because there are reshoots scheduled to take place next month. It was also bumped due to It’s massive success last September.

 

Due to knowing Shane Black directed this, I always read the “you’ll never see him coming” poster tagline in Ben Kingsley’s voice from Iron Man 3.

 

Is this a full reboot of the franchise or a soft reboot taking place in the the universe of the previous films with different characters?

 

This is basically Predator 3

 

He also commented that a teaser trailer is "coming soon"

This. Monster squad is one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s currently on vudu if you’re looking for a way to watch it

I'm curious to see if I'll like the tone of this movie. I feel like I'm gonna end up wishing it was more intense.

I hate reading about trailers before watching them, but know with the conventions there’s no way around it. Wonder how long we will have to wait to see this one.

Apparently its not a toy... its an alien relic and he doesn't know and is messing around with it. Very Shane Black. I mean come on...Monster Squad
