  1. We’re taking a family trip (us and our extended family) to Disney World this August. I’m kinda scared, haha. First time both kids will fly and we’ll have a 4 month old at Disney for a week. She might not even be on a normal sleep schedule by then. Ahhhh

My wife wants us to go to Disney so bad and now my 3-year-old talks about it all the time. My daughter is only 8-months. I hate flying as it is, it’s just a long hassle and a process and something I don’t want to do with young kids. I remember 7 years ago flying with my nephew when he was 3 and it was just a disaster.

  3. My son will have just turned 4 and I think he will be good. He will have snacks, iPad, etc and it’ll be a direct flight only taking about 2.5 hours I think. The baby on the other hand, who even knows how that’ll go

So... sold the house/moved out Friday, went to a hotel for the weekend, friends house Sunday night, hospital Monday night to be induced, and now in a really nice new hotel suite until we move on Friday up to MA. Fun times in two weeks lol.:crylaugh:

The flying part wouldn’t be fun regardless, but I’ve done Disney with a baby and it worked surprisingly well. There are the obvious issues you run into like you’d run into anywhere, but the parks are very accommodating with child swap, the baby care centers, etc.

    Congratulations!!

Also, best of luck with your move. I hope your family can find some time to relax a little amidst all of the activity!

I'm flying to Florida in a few weeks with my kid (2.5 y/o) . What should I expect? I plan on only bringing a stroller, and getting a seat from the car rental place.

My wife loves going to the zoo, so we've gone to the zoo the last 3 or 4 years on Mother's Day. The Cleveland Zoo has a whole Mother's Day special. Then we go to a picnic at a local park with the rest of my family and then potentially something with her mom.

    That sounds pretty cool!

My mother in law has a birthday this weekend so we tend to go over to their place. Will probably go swimming and BBQ. Pretty excited about it

How do you guys feel about your spouse donating her eggs? On the surface, I think she's a kind soul for doing that (considering we won't have another), but I can't wrap my head around my son having a hypothetical half-brother or sister. Just feels weird to me knowing she'd technically have another kid out there.

    Congrats!

    Know what you're having yet?

It's one of those things that I feel both parties should be on board with because of these "issues" that you list. Obviously it's up to her ultimately because it's her body, but to me I'd be pretty upset if my wife did it without my knowledge.

Yeah, I'm on the same boat where yes it's her body, and she is doing it with my knowledge. But I'm just apprehensive about the whole thing. I'd much rather her do this then be a surrogate (which she's briefly mentioned).

I think this day in age there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and it’s a very selfless act. With infertility on the rise it’s amazing that we have technology to give the gift of life and parenthood to so many people. You can’t imagine the pain a woman must go through to know that she can’t do something that is implanted in their brain from the moment they are born. There is always the option to do an anonymous donor and to make sure the child gets some form of counseling when they are the appropriate age so they understand. But, with all that being said, it truly is up to the woman.
