Nate Parker was not falsely accused and is not innocent. Brock Turner was a national news story. What exactly is the parallel?

I don't know who Tariq Nasheed is but was he not aware of the outrage against Turner? Not to mention the judge who gave the lenient sentence?

Tariq Nasheed is a piece of shit. I'm familiar with him and his ilk, particularly as it pertains to the proliferation of his work among black males. He has released books that are essentially the black versions of pickup artists, eg, he released a book titled "The Art of Mackin". Much of his notoriety as of late comes from a documentary series titled "Hidden Colors", in which the history of Africans is retold in a light that puts them on par with European empire; it seems that, rather than find power within liberation struggle, they associate value with the more oppressive techniques of European power. The more despicable aspects of it is the misogyny/misogynoir and anti-lgbtqia ideas embedded within their message. That is to say, they see the affirmation of women, the rejection of gender roles, and the development of a vibrant gay and trans community, as manifestations of European ideas that have been imposed upon the black community, or something like a disease that has been passed on to us. In "Hidden Colors", for example, they say sagging one's pants is the first step of getting out one's pants and into a dress. This is the sort of thing they use to indict American culture. So, in reality, his views are a mixture of black conservatism, which has roots in the sort of black nationalism they espouse, and the generalized American misogyny that sees all women, but black women in particular, as the subjects of all men and black men especially; anyone else outside of this paradigm is a deviation borne of European oppression.


TLDR: he's a piece of shit. No one needs to pay him any attention.
