I liked the album, didn’t love it. But I thought this single he released a few months ago was one of the best country songs I’ve heard this year.

 

Looking forward to this new Arlo McKinley album. He recently signed to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records and his new album comes out August 14. Good stuff.

I like the album (EP?) a lot. It really puts the focus on her voice, which is lovely.

 

New Arlo McKinley is out today and I’m really enjoying it so far.

On my list! I loved her last record and was sad when she went dormant. I took today off to enjoy some time out on the water, so the only thing released today that I’ve heard yet is “Dying Breed.”

 

Anyone who enjoy Heavier Things/Continuum/Battle Studies period John Mayer needs to check out the new Lindsay Ell record. Really great stuff.

Super pumped for this Colter Wall album. His voice appears to be aging in reverse (he sounds 20 years older than he is rather than 40 lol) but it’s still so distinct and perfectly captures the lonely cowboy vibe of his songs. Been reading a lot of westerns this summer and Colter’s catalogue has been the perfect soundtrack. When the guy sings “John Beyer’s just bought him a whole mess of pain” in that voice of his you really buy him as an outlaw lol.

Also I know Kate McCannon and Codeine Dream get the most love from his debut, but Me and Big Dave is his finest writing IMO.

Just a remarkable songwriter for his age.

 

I love this. Came up totally random on a folk playlist on Spotify. It’s very lovely, her voice reminds me of Katie Crutchfield at times.

 

We do not talk enough about Kathleen Edwards' Voyageur, which is a masterpiece.

 

I really like the new Courtney Marie Andrews. Her voice and lyrics just reel me in.

 

this is the best country duet ever. My buddy lived in texas for awhile and brought Josh abbot back to Michigan with him 7 years ago. This duet has gotten played at every wedding of any of our buddies since then lol.

 

Absolutely love Jon Pardi. one of my favs.

 

New Donovan Woods album out November 6, called Without People. Features a track with Katie Pruitt!

 

Saw the album announcement, didn't see the Pruitt feature. That's so cool for her. Stoked to hear it.
