Finally watched the short film, crushing in the best way

 

I just finished my first listen. Wow.

 

This is excellent as expected. Somebody said it’s not as immediate as SWB and I couldn’t agree more, but in the best way. can’t wait to really dig into this thing with the lyrics.

 

This is my favorite thing they've released since High Violet. Such a fantastic listen. Kept hitting repeat yesterday.

Finally able to listen to this. Grabbing me more on my first listen than SWB did. Really liking it so far.

 

Hello, my name is Lucas and this is my first time listening to a full album by The National and this is amazing. I've got my work cut out for me going back through their discography, no?

 

I found this to be way more immediate than SWB, but that record never clicked for me

Should probably revisit SWB but I never really went back to it after the initial drop aside from a few songs

 

I absolutely adored SWB

 

Sleep Well Beast has some incredible music, but for the most part I don’t find it as moving or immersive as everything else they’ve done.

 

Boxer was the first record of theirs I listened to, and proved to be a good entry point for their catalog, but your mileage may vary

 

I think HV seems to be the most polarizing on these boards. I see a lot of people either rank it low or high. I personally enjoy it more than TWFM, and SWB.

 

HV is my favourite.

 

HV is either my favorite or third favorite depending on the day.

Yeah, SWB mostly didn’t do it for me when it came out, but I’ve really come around on that record.
