Oh yeah but like we've known this was coming for most of the year right back to the 'Weird Goodbyes' future home' comment - a question of when and not if.

 

Surprised there’s not been a leak or rip yet. Haven’t had the chance to listen to this yet since I’m in from out of town and the friends we’re staying with don’t have a turntable :/

 

Going to go on record and say it’s a good album. Listened this morning

 

Probably because it’s a pain in the ass to rip from vinyl and it’s gonna be available tomorrow evening haha

 

I’m just antsy because Smoke Detector sounded like potentially their best ever song last night lol

 

Oh trust me I have ants in my pants too haha

 

I was operating on the assumption that anyone who had their hands on a copy already is probably busy having fun all weekend, likely away from home.

A friend of mine who also didn’t like Frankenstein at all (like me) really digs this album after first spin.

 

That’s good to hear. I like Frankenstein but it’s definitely one of my least favorite National albums.

 

How is Laugh Track if you liked Frankenstein a lot and think High Violet is outside the National’s top 5

Honestly I’ve been listening to The National for 15 years now and First Two Pages of Frankenstein is the only album that has grabbed me immediately

Maybe I just think New Order T-Shirt and Eucalyptus are that damn good but I think they’re getting better with age

Just a shitty lawyer who, in my opinion, argues on behalf of a lot of really screwed up corporations. They gave him a shout out last night because he was at Homecoming.

 

That’s weird and lame as hell

 

He defended Nestle against child slavery charges. I wish they’d at least stop shouting him out at shows. Pretty sure they did at their last DC show, too.

 

This appears to be a global release at midnight Eastern unless I'm mistaken. Not out in NZ yet.
