Album has been kicking my ass today

Extremely Fucking Dead, by Extremity

 

Zeal and Ardor is playing Chicago in August. I may go check it out if it's reasonably priced to see how their music translates live. I enjoy the concept of combining r&b with black metal, but the execution left a bit to be desired.

FFAA were just here recently too.

 

FFAA need to keep touring more with bands like Tombs instead of the shitty deathcore they get lumped in with.

 

I still like some deathcore, but I agree, haha. They're too good.

 

New Lows is a cool band. I wish they would release some new tunes.

 

I was just thinking about them the other day. The EP was really good. I'm pretty sure that dude kicked me in the head when I saw Quicksand lol

 

Not sure where else to post this since this probably doesn't fit in with the Metal Thread, but today's discovery of the day is The Heads are Zeros:

Haha, it's so good it needed to be posted twice. I'm still in fucking love with this.

 

This album came out today and it's phenomenal. Tech death with a dash of atmosphere here and there.

 

Another good thrash album from this year

 

Godflesh's Streetcleaner is such a great album, that guitar tone makes me want to just smash shit.

 

Planning on giving this bad boy a listen tomorrow at work.

 

For those people posting about Shai Hulud, you NEED to listen to Hollow Earth.

2 ex-SH members on vocals/ guitar, heavy-spacey riffs.

Dead Planet is a banger of an album.

Especially if you like Atmospheric Cave-in style stuff.

 

Saw While She Sleeps last night, definitely the best metal gig I've been to in a while, their new material is sounding massive live. Pretty cool to see they're on target for a top 10 album here in the uk, especially seeing as it was crowd funded and put out by the band themselves.
