The first 4 In Flames albums are so great. Those guitar melodies are utterly unfuckwitable.

 

That Revocation song was in Power Rangers all of 5 seconds maybe, but I was still stoked to hear them in a movie regardless.

 

I was pretty happy with it. It sounded like a logical progression from those once loyal. My only minor complaint is about the lack of a second guitar in the mix. Sometimes there could have been an extra punch needed to really push some of those riffs over the edge.

 

Seeing Nails, Toxic Holocaust, Harms Way, Gatecreeper, and Like Rats tonight. It should be a fun one.

 

Saw this last week, minus Like Rats. Awesome show. Gatecreeper is fucking sick.

Also, Todd seems much less, idk, uptight? Dude was cracking jokes and straight up introduced a song yelling "THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. MCDONALDS CHICKEN MCNUGGETS WITH BARBECUE SAUCE" lol

 

I am on the fence about going to the same lineup tomorrow. I'm not really doing anything...

You know what album we all need to revisit? ERRA and their album "Drift"

 

That record is on of my favorites from last year. I still find it crazy that JT came from doing youtube vocal covers to doing that Texas In July record and Drift. Dude is seriously a beast imo.

 

I need to spend more time with ERRA. I've been seeing @Ferrari333SP praise them for ages, and although I've liked what I've heard they've yet to "click" with me.

 

I kind of stopped caring about the band after Augment but I'll give Drift another go tonight

 

ERRA has never done anything for me musically sadly. :(

 

For me it's the blend of technical, well produced guitars, the scream vocals where you can still understand, mostly, what he's saying, the cleans, and the melodies. It's not super heavy/hard, yet not super soft either. It's something I can put on and immediately vibe with

 

Saw them live and they were great. I wear the shirt I got all the time. I don't have much motivation to listen to their records again but would definitely go see them at a show.

 

They should line up with my tastes. I'll have to give them another shot.

Sweet. It's on my queue. Looking forward to checking it out over the weekend.

 

Holy shit dude. You weren't kidding. This Body Count album REALLY surprised me. The Slayer cover(s) are great and all the originals are too.

 

Will Putney helped produce it, which you can tell really helps the production sound great

 

I know they've always been shit at covering our world properly but for fuck sake, the fucking state of this Mastodon review.

 

Still better than a Metalsucks review.
