I preordered the new Nails before even listening to the song, but goddamn it's awesome. Ordered a shirt with the album art too because Jef Whitehead's art is badass.

If I remember right, new Gojira comes out the same day, so that'll be a great day for metal.

Been an excellent year for tech death.

The Zenith Passage just came out with their debut album "Solipsist".

So like, who the fuck gave this the right to actually be entertaining? I took one look at it and went "oh god, this is probably forced as fuck" and clicked play to see if I'd be confirmed and got the exact opposite of what I was expecting. Probably sounds goofy as fuck to the rest of you, but I like it more than I should, lol.

Also that new Wormed record is some gnarly shit.

I was wondering why this reminded me so much of The Faceless. Then I remembered Justin McKinney was in the band.

Sucks that neither of those tours are coming this way. Glad I caught Carcass with Gorguts and BDM in 2014 though.

Bunch of more obscure deathcore I've been digging lately. All good shit imo. Also hyped as fuck for Aborted's new album to drop.

@Richter915 : love the Obituarist - always good recs indeed. Though I will confess I don't know where Trevor gets off on some of his picks. Some of those brutal-death recs especially (and mind you, I love brutal-death) are so blunt and primal that it's just boring, lol.

I'm going to say Chuck solely for the fact that Muhammed seems to have forgotten his keys to the studio for the last 12 years.

Lol, their drummer somewhat cryptically said the band was dead on fb the other day.

I'm surprised it took him that long to admit it. Does anyone have any idea what Muhammed is actually doing with his life right now? If I'm looking at the information I just Googled correctly, they haven't played live in over five years.
