New King Gizzard is actually a really solid metal album.

This is my first real dive into one of their albums, but from what I am reading, this is that album turned up to 11.

 

Happy Plaguewielder (US), Sammath, Boris/Uniform split, Helleruin, Witchskull, King Gizzard, Saturnus, Thy Catalfalque, and mfkin Creeping Death release day to all those who celebrate

Never knew King Gizzard has such a big following until they just played Red Rocks (I think last weekend or the one before?) and soooo many fans came into my store wearing their really cool looking merch. Like at least 15 shirts in two days. Pretty sure they almost sold it out too, or did.

 

Think they did 3-4 nights in a row. Never underestimate jam/psych band’s followings. I’ve heard they are fantastic live.

 

Was reminded of Archspire after one of the only reaction channels I follow on YouTube did a video on them, fucking love this band.

Every time the singer does that rap-esque screaming to the kick drums I punch the air.

 

Creeping death is living up to my very high expectations

 

I can't help but continue to be proud of Texas' musical output (since every thing else here mostly sucks)

Creeping Death, Frozen Soul, Judiciary, Skourge, Since My Beloved have all put out bangers that are imo, clearly stepping up from their previous material, and we're not even halfway through the year... plus we'll probably/hopefully get an LP from Ozone soon, not to mention the constant barrage of up and coming acts (Grimoire, Turfburner, Inner Self, Future Shock, etc.)

 

That kind of shit is so hit and miss with me and it's so easy to fuck up but that dude nails it and the band is so sick for it.

 

Was listening to Creeping Death while making tacos this weekend and my 5-year old comes in and goes "Oh, yes! I love these musics!!!"

Then he asked me to put on the best song of 2022, "Put Your Back Into the Oar".

 

New Baroness song is fantastic

 

Listening to the new Creeping Death, that song with Corpsegrinder goes dummy hard

 

I dig that Tommy decided that he wanted to look like a wizard now
