1000% agree. I'm going for Conjurer and already plan on watching Khemmis but I'll probably catch some of Possessed between their sets. I'm thinking Uada over Wake but I'm still a little torn.

 

Conjurer goes unreasonably hard. If you get a chance to see them live, don't miss it.

New Cattle Decap is great. Bummed I have to miss them on the Dark Funeral tour, I haven't seen them since 2013 somehow.

Yeah I'm gonna pass on the Decibel tour. I really only care about Blackbraid, and I ain't driving 1.5 hours away just to see the opener on a Tuesday night lol. Seen Cattle Decap before tho and I don't really care about the rest of the lineup

In hindsight, you're 100% right.

I don't really listen to either band, but I've seen them both live before and enjoyed both. I remembered liking a couple of Uada tracks in particular so I did choose to watch them, but they didn't play anything I recognized and after 3 songs I was completely bored and went to the car to smoke weed before Conjurer instead of finishing out their set. I will make it a point to give WAKE a proper listen now.

I do not know who Josef Alfonso is. But on Acacia Strain's "SINKHOLE" when he comes in on as guest vocals its as jarring as someone like Ace Enders or like your cousin runs up and grabs the mic and tries to scream.

wake started as a grindcore band and then became a black metal band with a lot of dissonance and blasts. i think their grind material is infinitely better (up though sowing the seeds... which is an all timer), but everything is pretty good.

i think i'm just down on uada because their last album was trash compared to the first two, and their social media presence is kinda cringey sometimes. those first two albums are still grade-a perfect dissection/sacramentum worship though.

If anything he needs to focus on getting the Full of Hell/Nothing collab, that's been recorded out and finish the current Full of Hell album they're in studio now recording.
