Has anyone heard of Kadinja? They were on my new New Music Mix on Apple Music. They are Djent and remind me a bit of Periphery.
The song GLHF is reallygood and has a solo from Rick Graham. I have never heard of him either but he is sick.

I am really digging this band. A ton of influences.

Lmao! I was cleaning out some albums and I found two Circle of Dead Children albums. Such a weird band. I saw them once and they had just kicked out their bassist the day before the show and they were like: "Screw it! We are going to play without him!"

Our discussion of Darkest Hour last week got me thinking of a band I miss. The Autumn Offering! Their first couple of records were so good and then when they lost their original singer, they sort of lost steam.

I'm enjoying this a fair amount. Nothing particularly unique but I like it

More than just "pretty good" I'd say lol. That band always delivers. New stuff from Obituary is sounding pretty promising too.

I'm terrible at over/under hyping things so I try to use neutral language lol

seriously tho, I know what you mean haha.

I love the artwork/layout for the new Immolation too. There's the death metal staple Par Olofsson cover art, and the interior paintings are by Zbigniew Bielak, whose work always blows me away with how creative, detailed and evocative it is.

Par Olofsson is a fucking amazing artist. I can only hope I come remotely close to his level of digital artistic skill one day.

At least, I think he's a digital artist. Could be wrong though.

I'm all about not hyping things up because myself and others won't be disappointed with the end product. This site does enough hyping as it is anyway so nobody will be sad if I don't hop on board!

I remember being legitimately frightened by that band when I was first getting into metal back in the day and someone randomly recommended them to me...I hadn't worked my way to listening to deathgrind yet. What ever happened to those guys anyway?

I think they are still around but are not a full time band.

It is actually; haven't really got around to listening to them before. Finally have some time in my listening schedule to check them out. Been listening to Jamey Jasta's podcast recently and he's hyped them a bunch, so thought I'd check them out

    Code Orange is hardcore/hardcore punk

Wikipedia says metalcore lol but nah

I think they really identify themselves as a hardcore band but have metal influences. Their earlier records, when they were Code Orange Kids, were definitely influenced by bands like Converge, Trap Them, etc but they always maintained roots in hardcore. Definitely check out their discography.

Listening to the new Junius. It's really good and pretty much can't be put in any one category. I think this thread will appreciate it.

Not to be contrarian, but Code Orange's last two records have bored me. I was actually more into the industrial and grunge leaning tracks on their new album than their straight-up mosh-heavy hardcore tracks.

Totally agree. While it's heavy as hell, there's not much substance there
