Today in bands that are back that I wasn't expecting to come back - Becoming The fucking Archetype. Their first album in 10 years is coming out in August. Sounds like something I would've been really into 2008-2010, and that's not a bad thing.

Their first record is actually worth a listen. After Dave died, they could never really capture that magic again, but "Sinner" is a very solid nu-metal album.

 

I find things to enjoy about their entire body of work, but I understand why people feel this way, on both counts.

There have been a lot of creators who mainly cover hip hop and r&b who react to random metal stuff and it's the best thing on YT rn.

 

Too Lit Mafia is my favorite.

 

I am 100% a child of metalcore and grew up with the genre so this was like a timeline of my youth into college lol
