Yeah, A7X's libertarian chuddery is what made me stop listening to most of their stuff. Not surprised they're doing NFT's too. So disappointing how many metal musicians are doing that shit. Slipknot are doing NFT garbage now too which is a major disappointment to me for how important that band is to me.

 

I hope people aren’t canceling bands over NFT’s. Who cares? Also, they aren’t forcing you to buy them. Honestly, it’s smart and another way to earn money. After the pandemic, I’m not surprised.

 

Not sure making their fans feel exploited and turn against them is smart.

 

Yes, the A7X situation is very odd. I should have specified that not all bands aren’t like that of course. As other people have mentioned, those first couple of albums are pivotal in shaping my music listening. I fell off after City of Evil.

 

Went to Gatecreeper / Narrow Head / 200 Stab Wounds / Fearing last night. Fantastic lineup and vibes. So genius to do a balanced, mixed bill like that when there's enough crossover appeal. Crowd was into every band.

I'm on team Waking the Fallen being very influential to early teens me, along with The End of Heartache. I have fond memories of listening to those and playing Dragonball Z Budokai on the PS2.
