saw Sepultura/Sacred Reich/Crowbar on Saturday.

I haven't kept up with Sepultura at all really since Max left but they still sound great and the stuff they played from the new album was surprisingly not bad. I think I listened to it once when it was released, but I may have to give that record another spin.

Sacred Reich brought out Blake from Power Trip to play American Way which was super cool.

 

Haven't listened to a single Sepultura record post-Roots. Feels wrong without both Cavaleras. Glad to hear they bring it live. I saw Crowbar in November and they rocked.

 

It's been a while. Nice.

 

Remember The Pax Cecilia ? this is the new project of one the dudes, Ode and Elegy. One giant 55 minutes track of post metal, chamber music, choral, etc. it's epic.

I try to think of them as a different band all together. I kinda wish they would have changed their name, but also they probably wouldn't have made it another 20+ years if they had.

Crowbar was great too, but the crowd was DEAD. Like 3 people headbanging and everyone else just standing there expressionless.

No such thing as too many band shirts when you factor in that they deteriorate over time and most of them don't look anywhere near as crisp after maybe a year of regular use.
