I've been going through Sharptones lineup recently after revisiting Currents last EP and digging around to see what they were up to. Which then led to going through a deep dive through their lineup, mannnn they have some cool bands. Really really like Loathe along with Pridelands.

Anyone else in this same vein?

Finally got around to Boris - No. The impressions/reviews were definitely on-point: It's cathartic af, and one of, if not THE fiercest and heaviest-sounding records they've made \m/

Sounds like a plan if it happens. I've had tickets for this year's iteration of the festival for 2 and a half years, but I also didn't anticipate it being postponed two years and having a second kid due in March in the meantime so life has a way of throwing some nice curves your way.

 

New deathgrind band featuring members of Maura, The Destro, and Turbid North. This is right up my alley.

 

And another new one - this time from members of Mammoth Grinder, Iron Reagan, and Repulsion. This scratches the Mammoth Grinder itch real nicely.

 

Good timing since the follow-up/companion album W is out tomorrow!

Boris' "W": A Lullaby for the Apocalypse (Review & New Video)

 

Gotta listen...Boris is that one band that every time I listen I'm surprised how much I like them, such a departure from what I usually enjoy.

 

Karnivool finally dropped a new song last month... and I'm only noticing it now.

By the time the new album comes out, I wouldn't be surprised if Asymmetry turns 10.

 

This pretty much nails what I look for in heavy music, so of course I've been listening to this song exclusively and on repeat over the last couple of days.

 

Whew an alt mix for one of 2021’s best metal records

 

I'm liking that what I've heard of the Corpsegrinder solo album so far justifies it's existence as a solo project and doesn't just sound like leftover Cannibal Corpse tracks.

 

Members of Repulsion, Mammoth Grinder, etc. EP releases March 25th.
