Cerebral Rot, Gojira, Altarage, Obsolete, Evile

 

Some of the Gojira stuff I skip through. Call it a short attention span or just being ran dry of listening to so many full metal albums over the years, you begin to feel like you’ve heard it before every time. But they have some signature Gojira-esque stuff I enjoyed and think they have great single picks.

I thought insomniac was a local Pittsburgh thing but they're everywhere. Legit shit.

 

They introduced me to at the gates. People complain that they don't show any progression across albums and it gets stale but for me they have a formula that theyve perfected, why mess with it.

 

I've aaaaalways felt they were written off by metalheads as breakdowny deathcore scene shit their first 10 years then eventually some came to realize they never were but still hate on em, I've seen them 5 times 80 - 90 min sets just flawless every time idk I get it tho, I equate my fandom similar to how dethklok are portrayed on their show lol

Other than Gojira, I haven't listened to any of them so I will check them out.

Yautja is on my list for tomorrow. I've checked out Big Brave, which I liked but not as much as their last album, and Sentinel was one I listened to while cleaning up the other day and could not remember the name of the artist even though I liked it a lot.

Yeah, we moved to Raleigh 2 weeks ago which is why I've missed most of the stuff over the past month. Lots of packing and coordinating and now unpacking and getting things setup. Overall, the move went (surprisingly) well - movers got our stuff out of our place in 2.5 hours, were in Raleigh a few days later (we got here the evening before), and had our stuff unloaded in 2.5 hours.

Still trying to find a time to meet up with @Nate_Johnson.
