I’ve always wanted to hear a metal band cover the MMPR theme song. My old roommate could play the solo and it always brought me joy.

 

IIRC Powerglove does covers of both those, not death metal just fast power metal stuff

 

Quarantined Pantera Fan Running Out of Drywall to Punch

Feels like a good thing to shitpost so why not?

 

I've been back on my brutal-death obsession as of late - major kick going on right now. Granted, my life is a brutal-death and deathcore phase by default, but I've really been digging deep lately.

Seminal Embalmment have a really unique and tight style of brutal-death with fun little technical flourishes on the riffs - never a ton, just enough to make the songs sound more interesting than your run of the mill BDM band.

I have a wall flag of this space whale cover art. Love this band, though - Greek brutal death almost always manages to get close to something resembling melodic brutal death metal, I swear.

If you're not following the Indonesian BDM scene you're missing out on seriously murderous stuff.

This is a one-man project of one of the members of Fecundation from South Korea if you know that band (who are also killer). If this act doesn't get snapped up by a label soon assuming more material is coming, I'll be really surprised.

Castrator are an all-girl brutal-death project featuring the vocalist of Abnormality. Nice to see the tables of gendered lyrical violence be turned for once. This is sick.

 

Metal adjacent. The album is all covers and cements A.A. Williams as one of my favorite female vocalists alongside Chelsea Wolfe and Emma Ruth Rundle.
