it's been a week from hell with a broken dishwasher and having to tear a hole in our kitchen ceiling due to a water leak through a light fixture. it's the first week where my wife and i are having real buyer's remorse for buying a place instead of renting. sigh.

On to UK death/grind stuff:

The new Napalm Death is great for a later era album from them. A lot more grind than I honestly expected based on the two singles I heard.

Carcass also put out a new single today, and you can pretty much just inject anything they release straight into my veins at this point:

 

I feel you. Our house is 125 years old and we've had a persistent leak in the roof for the last 5 years that we've already had "fixed" 3 times but keeps coming back, and last fall we wanted to get some siding replaced and when the contractor tore it out we found old termite damage and had to redo ~1/3 of our foundation.

This is why Satan invented metal.

 

Yeah. Just reading that is making me glad that we moved away from Chicago because the single family housing stock there is so old so I'm not sure how we could deal with our mortgage, repairs, and property taxes on top of that. Combine that with the cost of having kids there, and I feel like I'd go completely insane. I legit do not know how you do it, but more power to you all.
