I keep forgetting to post this, but there's a sick compilation out today on the Bindrune Bandcamp called Overgrow to Overthrow and a bunch of bands came together to make the anti racist album. It's pretty great.

Includes Ripped to Shreds, Thou, Cloud Rat, Panopticon, Chaos Moon, Obsequiae, etc

Sunn O))) was a true gateway for me to get into heavy drone music

 

I can't get into them, but I should give them another try. I've heard that they're definitely much more of a live band rather than a studio one

Man that High Command LP from last year was slept on, been going back to it a lot

 

I kind of avoided it because I am not the biggest crossover fan but it had a nice blackened/Teutonic tinge in the songs I heard that I was thinking of checking out the full release.
