I'm going to laugh when August Burns Red, Silent Planet, and Every Time I Did get added to that list in the next few years. Off the top of my head Wage War, Polaris, In Hearts Wake, Miss May I, and Crystal Lake plus many others will all be added eventually as well.

 

Other than Every Time I Die, that's a list of bands I don't mind writing off TBH.

 

You take that back. ETID will not be written off!

 

I’m glad there are other people that care enough to check off all the bands that AILD play with or could potentially play with because I could care less either way. I don’t plan on going to see them so it’s kind of a non point for me.

Their newest stuff is pretty good but ya doesn't hold a candle to the earlier stuff.

I won't have any shame listening to after the burials material...put it this way, half of their discog is written by a guy who is now dead, y'all gonna criticize the band as a whole for touring with aild? Get outta here.

 

Convictions mean nothing when money is in play, etid doesn't need to be on a bill with aild, there's no reason for them to drag themselves down, both financially and sociopolitically, by wasting time with aild.

 

I mean they're not likely but it really wouldn't surprise me if they did and this forum wouldn't know how to handle it. People were shocked and disappointed when Jake from ABR did guest vocals for the AILD track. Same with Real Friends touring with Keep Flying or (correct me if I'm wrong) a member of TWY posting a pic with a his good friend JJR.

Could definitely see a AILD/ABR tour with Silent Planet as support in the future and a year ago everyone on this forum would have said that it would never happen.

Good to see Metallica is continuing to find new ways to be disappointing

 

Friday round-up:

-The new Tomb Mold is AOTY quality material.

-As is the new Falls of Rauros.

-The new Enforced and Wormed releases are awesome, but a tier below though two to me.

-In metal adjacent land: the new Halshug record out on Southern Lord is great for those who like crust punk. Lingua Ignota continues to not be for me. I respect what she's doing, but the new release was a bit too acerbic for me to make it through more than three tracks. The new Jerome's Dream was kind of underwhelming. I definitely need to revisit their old material, but the new release is making me head into that with a bit of trepidation.

 

The new Tomb Mold is dope.
