Shawn from what I understand does a lot of the creative side so I can see why he’d want a bigger share

My god, this Venom Prison album. Any genre they tip their toes into is perfection.

Random Friday updates:

-The new Noisem is everything I needed it to be. The tremolo riffing on this thing is meaty and ridiculous in the best way possible.

-Lot of other good stuff out today: Asthma Castle, Body Void, Contrarian, Deafkids, Fallujah, Oozing Wound, Venom Prison, Vile Creature, and Woe. It's gonna be a busy one.

 

Not metal, but the lyrics from this song from Teenage Bottlerocket's new album are hilarious.

Slipknot live is an experience. Their fans are wild but surprisingly respectful? Even if they just play the hits it'll be fun to see.

 

Yeah I saw Knot once, and they were incredible. I was too scared att to be in the pit, but now I would get up in there during some Wait & Bleed or Three Nil.

 

I've solidified myself in mosh retirement but crowd surfing/moshing at the Pledge of Allegiance tour in 2001 remains one of the funnest nights of my life (Slipknot, System of a Down, Rammestein, Mudvayne-unfortunately not at my show)

 

We’re seeing them at SPAC which leaves really no place for a pit, unless it happens on the lawn which is doubtful. The lawn is behind the seats, and we got seated tickets so I’m happy about that.

 

I’ve seen a few shows there and yeah, I can’t picture where a pit would go.

 

I did however once see a crazy fight break out during J. Cole there once and that was when I think I decided I was done with lawn tickets.

 

Just picked up a boot of the first Danzig record for only $10, usually those go for much more so I’m pretty pleased

 

Pits on the lawn are commonplace here

 

Today I listened to Nightfall In Middle-Earth in the shower

 

I need to get back into that band

 

Finally finished making a Converge best of playlist to work out to.

 

Been a good weekend. Saw Xibalba and End Times on Thursday. Gorilla Biscuits/Judge/Candy on Friday. Necrot/Blood Incantation/Frozen Soul tonight!
