I really enjoyred this. It reminds me a lot of 90s groove metal but with a modern hardcore update. One of my early new favourites.

 

Really digging this Zohamah record.

 

I remember this fuckwit from like 6 years ago when they got dropped from that Chaos in Tejas(?) festival for this shit. It's good he's been dropped but damn thats a long stretch of denial/apathy from the rest of them.

I also remember that Disma album as being pretty bland and boring as far as old school DM worship goes - and that was before I knew about Pillard's 4th Reich fetish...

I know how silly it is, but the racist associations that came with black metal prevented me from exploring it for so long. I'm glad I actually took the time to sit down and learn which ones were and weren't because now I love it but yeah, it did always used to put me off so badly...

So fucking good. It's exactly how I imagined it was gonna be and more. I'm curious to see whether I'll enjoy it as much as Employed's new one or if it will rate higher...

Also I don't know if you know but Seeyouspacecowboy's discography release is up on Spotify and daaaaaamn today has been a blast so far.

 

Went to Ithaca's album release show tonight and the Employed singer did guest vocals... I'm not trying to make you jealous I swear. Love the album.

 

Haha I'm too pumped off the fact that I'm going to see Deafheaven in 2 weeks and Phil Anselmo with King Parrot in April to be jealous tbh. But that is amazing and I bet it was fucking wild. And yes, the album is too incredible to be a debut album. It's the Conjurer effect...

 

This is massive. One of my favourite post-metal/atmo-sludge bands and already a presiction for one of my AOTYs this year.

 

I don't know where this band comes from to put out debut singles this good, but you all need to check this out:

This is awesome. Got a bit of a Terra Tenebrosa vibe in places and that's always cool.

 

That's what I thought but I got confused haha. This band shares members from Blut Aus Nord. Guess I need to listen to the latter as well.

Do! They're easily one of the best post-metal bands around - they're a bit heavier than some others in the genre due to their crust punk origins and black metal elements, and they absolutely kill it.
