I honestly feel like dillinger got pretty stagnant

 

so im listening to the ark work for the first time since it came out and everyone in this thread is gonna think im crazy but this record is actually really cool lol

 

I had moments with ark work

 

Ofc,most bands do over time. There's no questioning how influential calculating infinity was and continues to be. Also, their live act is almost unparalleled in terms of craziness.

 

I saw them last summer on a big festival stage. Granted I was pretty close to the front, but the intensity and energy still managed to come across even in that setting. That'll definitely be one of my abiding memories of them.

 

that vid of them in the calculating infinity days where the vocalist sprint dives into the crowd is one of the most crazy things I've seen

 

Still upset I never made it to one of their shows. Hopefully there will be a farewell tour or something.

 

saw em open for thursday when i was like 17. i was trying to get on barricade for thursday so i was up in the pit. it was terrifying. great band.

Holy shit, how did I miss Bossk had a new album?!

 

Didn't realize this thread existed so this is me following this thread now.

 

I always forget that Bossk had even reunited (not a reflection on their music). I should check that album out.

 

the bossk album is one of the best metal albums of the year. my favorite metal release, though, is definitely sumac

 

Eternal Champion album coming September 27 via No Remorse Records.

 

not a whole bunch of exciting black metal I've heard this year and that's most likely completely my fault

there's like 3 or 4 albums on my list to check out in the genre from this year

 

This is rad. Isn't this a side project from some of the dudes in Power Trip? Or am I just remembering my band relationships incorrectly?

 

Demo of a new project from the front man of Weekend Nachos. It's slow and awesome doom/sludge in the vein of Primitive Man, Bongripper, or Crowbar. Probably the heaviest demo I've heard in a long while:

 

dudes from Power Trip, Iron Age and War Hungry.

 

I'm not normally into this type of stuff but this is awesome

 

That new periphery is so solid, dunno if it will top Juggarnaut for me but damn is it good.

 

Seeing them tonight w/ SikTh, Chon, and Toothgrinder. Pretty stoked. Juggernaut is still my fav as well, but the new album is great.
