Oh boy, I can't wait to see that Sodom EP have its tracks posted on a daily basis on Shreddit for the next six months with everyone continuously being okay with it because it's Sodom!

sometimes you need the midpoint for recommendation between metalsucks and invisible oranges - pretentious but still a bit accessible. that's shreddit for me. *shrug*

I don't know what shreddit is, so I must not be a real metal fan. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I try to stay away from Reddit as much as I can, that’s just a black hole I don’t want to get sucked into

As far as online communities go Shreddit is pretty chill when it comes to metal. They have the resident snobs and also the phenomena of mocking a random popular band every week or so but after AveLucifer got banned the environment is so much more pleasant.

i havent heard all their stuff but from what i have heard, nah. pretty typical UK metalcore. they sound a lot like bring me the horizon before they went full butt rock

Check out their last album, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, and see what you think.

Architects have a few jams, but they seem fairly generic to me too. Although I haven't really dug into their stuff much.

I guess if you're a metalcore fan, they're probably work checking out, otherwise, you're probably not missing much.

I agree that it is metalcore and they are one of the few bands in the genre I still listen to. On that same note, I connect with them on a very personal level as a cancer survivor and knowing that they lost their primary songwriter to it just breaks my heart and I am glad to see them continue on as a band despite that. They are not going to change the metal scene but their lyrics are very heartfelt and personal.

  23. Architects actually stood out from the typical metalcore scene. They started sounding like every other band of the genre around their fifth album. I definitely recommend their early albums if you're into The Dillinger Escape Plan, Johnny Truant, Sikth, Botch, and math metal-y stuff.

I listened to Hollow Crown every day for ages after it was released . I loved how heavy it was and couldn't find any other album that was like it

  25. Hollow Crown is arguably their best. Without it, I wouldn't be the guitarist that I am today. Tom Searle had such a knack for technical yet catchy dissonant riffs. It's weird that they don't even play anything from that album anymore though. Early Graves and We're All Alone still go off.

(I wish they would remaster it though, the guitars sound so weird on it.)
