they are actually really good even if I don't listen to them much

  6. Intronaut toured with Ben Sharp so he could perform Cloudkicker material with a full band, so I'll always love them for that. They're pretty good live.

    I've got a dilemma.

My neighbor gifted my brother with 4 tickets to see Rob Zombie and Korn tomorrow night. Apparently he was going to go with his gf and his son but they broke up and his son ended up moving to CA (shitty week). Anyways, my brother extended the invitation to my wife and I along with his girlfriend to all go together. Eventually, brother and wife decided they don't want to drive an hour on a Wednesday night to see Rob Zombie (none of us actually like him) only to get back at like 1AM and work the next day. I work from home, so I can start whenever - but I also don't even listen to/care for Zombie, although Korn will always have a place in my 15 year old heart.

So I'm wondering is it worth it to go alone? I've had 0 volunteers (and I don't blame them) to go and 3 extra tickets. It's for lawn seating at an amphitheater, so it's nothing crazy. The last time I got free tickets to an amphitheater show I was in high school and it was for the Motley Crue reunion tour. I did not then and still not enjoy MC, but to this day it's a fun story to tell. Would you drive an hour to see Rob goddamn Zombie and Korn for free? Otherwise I'm not sure what to do with the tickets. I guess I could give them back to my neighbor and maybe he could try to sell them.

    Thoughts?

Does Rob Zombie still include Thunder Kiss 65 in his set list? if yes, go. if not, don't.

but really though? I'd go for it if I were you. At least, if there's at least even a SLIVER of your brain saying to go for it. Especially if you've got a nostalgic appreciation for Korn.

I probably wouldn't go, but then again I've seen both Korn and Zombie many times and I'm not really a fan of either. Zombie does have a pretty cool show, but if you're having to go alone and sit on the lawn, it might not be worth it unless you're really into Korn.

edit: And yes, Zombie still plays TK65 as well as More Human Than Human.

Since you can work from home and start whenever, I'd probably go. It doesn't hurt. Personally, I'm not sure how I'd feel about going to an amphitheater show like that by myself, but if you can get past that awkwardness - why not go?

I really liked parts of a&o...but i still like PII more than anything they've done. I just feel that they went too big with that album.

Anyone ever read any books about metal? The Norwegian black metal scene in the early 90's seems intriguing to read about. I was looking into Black Metal: Evolution of the Cult and True Norwegian Black Metal. Both seem pretty enlightening.
