i would love to see a full concert in that chapel...i know that would never happen, but i did get to see earth/disappears there a few years ago on the lawn outside one of the mausoleums. that was a pretty epic experience.

That’s Adult Swim in general, there’s tons of singles that’s never made it past their sites. One of my all time favorite Best Coast songs is a Adult Swim single and I’ve to find it on any outside source other than YouTube.

 

I think it’s beyond pathetic of them to post that and talk about how they all learned to forgive Tim but show no sympathy to his ex-wife. Fuck those dudes.

 

that seems to be a recurring trend when shit like this pops up in the metal scene. make a statement about it without directly acknowledging the allegations and then wait for it to breeze over.

Just listened to the new Marduk record and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's the first thing I've ever listened to from Marduk. What have I missed?

I also listened to the new Funeral Mist album too, but didn't care for it nearly as much.

 

gonna be honest. i'm not a huge fan of marduk, but i know other people really like their second and third albums (those of the unlight and opus nocturne, respectively). i wasn't a fan of their 2009 album, wormwood, when it came out and i had to listen to it as a part of my metal director days at the college radio station i worked at.

i'll differ ultimately to someone else who has a more positive opinion of them. :) funeral mist was pretty tight the first listen through...gonna need to give that a few more spins when i'm not listening to demolition hammer or khemmis.

 

Thinking about my time at the radio station got me looking for some of my old playlists from my shows...unfortunately, I only saved a few, but those were the days...life was so much simpler then. And my tastes were nowhere near as out there as they are now.
