The Cattle Decapitation dudes are some good fellas.

 

One of the best current DM bands period. The lead singer’s Trump themed grindcore band is hysterical as well.

 

I’m not a massive fan of their style of music but that’s an awesome gesture from the band there.

 

New GosT album goes hard as fuck. Dude's always had overt metal influences in his brand of synthwave but this record ramps it up even more. Opening of this track is basically black metal played on analog synths. Love it.

 

Loved the new Thou.

Also idk why I never listened to Algiers before, but fuck does that slay as well.

 

Ironically with all of this Thou talk, I came across their Black Sabbath Covers EP on Youtube today and have been jamming the shit out of it. Their cover of Into the Void is gnarly...it's got the perfect amount of groove.

On a completely different genre note, Demilich/Blood Incantation/Artificial Brain/Nucleus was a killer show last night.

Digging this. Can't go wrong with HM-2 riffs and Mark Riddick artwork. It's cool too when bands like this work in a lot of big, melodic and hooks instead of just straight up mimicking Entombed beat for beat.

It's good for sure. Band is underrated as fuck and I'm all about their death-rock tinged brand of metal.

 

If I were to make a spotify playlist where I post 10 metal and metal adjacent songs daily, would anyone be interested? I'd also attempt posting an album a day in this thread that is not on spotify. Would anyone be interested in this? Expect songs/albums old and new.

 

Been digging these preview tracks from Nequient's upcoming album. They play crusty frenetic metalcore ala All Pigs Must Die. Pretty solid stuff.

This is gnarly. Films like this, Death Metal Angola, and Heavy Metal in Baghdad make me appreciate how good we have it in the western world when it comes to our musical choices. Or else, you have shit like this happening:
