The theme song for the show is "metal" and the show itself is dark/violent/"metal"

I love the show but have no idea what tie in there is to this tour. Wish it was coming to my town though because I'd be there is a second.

Makes no sense. Totally honest I wasn't super high on power trips album but you can't not have them in any top five list.

Lamb of God/Slayer/Anthrax/Behemoth/Testament tour this summer.

I'm underwhelmed because it's gonna be expensive and have awful fucking crowds.

Also, Primitive Man and Spectral Voice are touring together too which I'm infinitely more excited for.

Hasn't that Slayer/LOG bill already happened? At least variations of it.

It better fucking come to St. Louis or at least close to it, I’m still pissed the tour skipped here last summer. To be fair though, I did get to see LoG and Behemoth play in a small venue as a consolation prize but still.

Honestly I don't even know if I'll go to that tour. Depends on the venue mostly. I've seen all of those bands like 10 times each and none of them really excite me like they used to (except Behemoth, who I never really got into)

Slayer and Anthrax are always worth a watch in my book. Plus, it’s been years since I’ve seen both so that ties into it.

Been getting in Revocation a lot lately, been watching guitar lesson videos from Dave and it’s wild how talented that guy is.

Ash was a solid add to the band, his drumming is top shelf

I mean, I love both bands, but their setlists NEVER change. If they'd both mix it up more, I'd be all about it, but hearing Indians and Raining Blood for the 1000th time doesn't really excite me.

I wouldn't mind seeing LOG again, since it's been a little while, but they'll probably just play their hits too. Plus I'm expecting this to be a big tour which means they'll play amphitheaters and arenas most likely... Tickets will be expensive... I dunno, I don't want to be down on the tour, it'll probably be a great time.

I get that legacy bands think they need to play the hits every night, but even mixing up 3-4 songs in the set can make all the difference for people like me that will see the same band(s) year after year.

Pretty much sums up my views on this. I'm sure I'd have at least a decent time once I get there but there is also a somewhat solid chance high prices and shitty crowds will probably ruin it for me.

A pit ticket at a show like this will probably come out to be around ~$60 after fees at least which I can also go to 3-4 club shows using that money. I might be able to do a lawn ticket for cheaper though but that depends on what venue the show is at.

    IDK, we'll see.

New Cynic track. Was never super into them, but this doesn't sound bad. Really nice grooves.

I go through phases with Cynic, the way they layer all that sound is hard to digest back to back to back. I dig this new track, should be a great album.
