    I’m pretty mixed on this first episode. Solid world building but it was very awkwardly paced. The parts I enjoyed felt rushed and then there were parts that felt like they overstayed their welcome (nick nolte training sequence). Gonna have to watch it again.

    I’m for sure in for the season though. The cliffhanger has me intrigued and nervous.

    Definitely a ballsy choice with that reveal. There’s no way we ever really experience the baby as a real character, based on how it ages, unless we eventually get content hundreds of years into the timeline.

    With Filoni involved I’m not wary at all. He truly gets Star Wars. If he left due to creative differences would be a reason for me to worry. But him actively directing this stuff on top of exec producing? I have no worries.

    Mostly liked this. VERY much a pilot/brief introduction to this world. Pacing and tone was a little wonky at first but smoothed out as it went along. Hope future episodes are longer because this flew by.

    I know they had a large budget but damn that CGI was great
