Much better episode this week. Didn’t expect us to be on Mandalore already. Keep giving me more Bo Katan, please. Grogu is stepping up, which is a very good thing. I don’t know if I could enjoy another season where he constantly needed protected or saved.

I just can’t decide if they’re setting up Bo-Katan to be the villain or if she’ll actually be of help

They definitely should have released this along with the first episode. I'm getting slight love interest vibes from Bo Katan this episode. Convinced she won't be the villain at the very least. Felt like she was starting to admire Din's devotion and when she saw the Mythosaur, I got the sense that she started to believe.

Yea, I mean, they could make her a villain, but that would be super lame. Her desires are pure from all we have seen. She just has been on rough times for awhile and it’s taken it’s toll.

I hope this keeps up the serialized feel throughout the season. The monster of the week side quest feel of the past few seasons was one of my main gripes.

  8. Enjoyed this one quite a bit. Some cool creature/droid design, Grogu starting to do more, some cool looking environments (although hard to see if you watch during the day).

Worth noting that this ep was directed by Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison (Mudbound, Black Panther). Hadn't seen any of her directing work before, but she's done some here and there for other tv shows. Thought this was a really strong ep.

Finally got caught up on the first two episodes. First one was eh but the second one rocked, all of the Mandalore stuff was really great

Although I also found it kind of funny that it was mostly Mando getting his ass kicked and needing to be rescued lol

Second episode is back to the good stuff. Glad they didn’t drag out going to the mines any longer.

You have to watch Rebels before Ashoka for.sure. Rebels doesn't get enough love (no matter how much it gets) because it's literally one of the best Star Wars things ever. I actually have a document for Clone Wars where I've highlighted all the most relevant episodes of you're interested in seeing it. I'd also suggest watching Clone Wars in chronological order as opposed to season order.
