My girlfriend listens to a bunch of crime/mystery podcasts and some of them are pretty good. One of them focuses on famous kidnappings throughout semi-recent history.

Might be me, but i'll probably get ripped apart for it.

 

The sad truth is that the internet is a place where people can be jerks behind an electronic screen and with certain anonymity so you'll always have people saying things on here they wouldnt say to someone else's face.

 

I'm the type to say it to your face and on here. Its not ok to make someone else feel like absolute shit because you're hiding behind a fucking computer. AND NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I have friends on here who are bullied so bad, they leave. THAT IS NO OK WITH ME. this is supposed to be a fun place. Its not, its fucking depressing and sad.

 

also, this isn't directed at you. I'm just concerned about how things are around here.

 

Oh yeah I know it's not okay. To be frank a lot of forums are nothing more than glorified high school cliques except for adults. I feel like, as a whole we are a decent community but there are definitely problems here just like any other forum and I think it's important to have this talk in some way.

 

Its disgusting. If we acted like this towards our co-workers, we'd all be fucking fired. Why does it make it ok on here to rip someone apart? and I"m not saying someone did that to me today...many times in the past, but not today...just so we are clear and no one accuses me of being "soft' cause i'm not.

Basically when this place causes someone to have a breakdown, that is when I get fucking angry and upset and wish we could all support each other and point out to the person being an ass for no reason that "hey man, take a breath and look at what you are saying".

and to those seeing this who assume its about you, its about ALL of us.

 

I wont name names but I have heard and seen alot of unneeded viscera and hostility here. I have seen and heard of good people leave over it. While the intentions are good, this place can be very toxic in how it handles those situations.

This thread has been all but abandoned anyways and I am getting tired of not saying anything about it but yeah just my two cents

 

I could go on and on, but I won't because I just wanna talk about fun things. But I think this shit needs to change. Back in the AP days Mods would be all over that shit before it even got to the point of fucked up. But now I hear about things that happened last Friday just yesterday and I am very upset about it. had I been here for it, I would have lost my ever loving mind. I'm glad I wasn't here to see it, but i'm pissed it even fucking happened.

Can't get banned for sticking up for each other, if we do it in a mature way.

 

Ha, I got banned for trying to apologize to people. I get it they didn’t want my apology and that’s fine.. but it is what it is.

My point is, if I mix it up in anyway with some users whether it’s respectful Or not I’ve been told I’m gone

 

I would like to create a more positive message by saying that a lot of you are very good people from what I know. I know I have had some beefs in the past with people I shouldnt have and I would like to extend an olive branch and be a more positive force if i can. I feel like we need more of that here.

It is but I sort of get it. It’s hard for them to see me getting into arguments with the same people all the tine, and there’s one of me and many more of them, so it makes total sense to me right or wrong. I’d love to patch things up with people but I did put myself in that position and I def said some things I regret.

 

I get that. I've dug my own grave a few times int he past, but lately, I'm just not ok with the bullshit and others being made to feel like they don't belong...because someone said exactly that over a fucking discussion about a band.

Is this not a music based website? Isn't that what we kinda do here? Is this real? does this look infected?

Am I making any sense? ugh.

 

I feel like its strange to try and take ownership over a thread, I will say that. The stuff with me, may be deserved, but the stuff with others def isnt.
