I always see it near akala ruins and that closest tower

I believe there’s also a quest you can start that pinpoints the location on your map

If you don’t feel like dealing with the Lost Woods, you can do what I did and use ascend from the depths to get where you need to go

is going through the Lost Woods even an option?? i tried doing it like 5-10x before i considered going through the depths and kept getting ghosted out of the woods. beating the gloom hands and phantom ganon and then ascending up into the deku tree was, i thought, the only route haha

If you just hang out where the final tear appeared in Akkala it should show up then just hop into the tower. It doesn't really go anywhere else after you've gotten the last tear.

It showed up after the cutscene, I went to do something else and it was gone. It travels around the entire map in a circle so I just have to bounce around from tower to tower to hope to catch it, or go do the Forest stuff which will then mark it on my map

Just finished the glyphs and got the master sword.

Yo, Aonuma haaaaaaaaaaaaaates Princess Zelda lmao. Every new game he comes up with a more sadistic form of prolonged abuse for her to endure

I see. I read that after you complete the tears it just hangs around Akkala, maybe they just meant immediately after, and it happened to be there when I went back.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

yeah forget navigating the woods, just drop a pin in the middle of it and Ascend from below. That quest will show you where the Light Dragon is on your map at all times, and it will significantly lower in altitude so it's easier to just glide to it from the nearest tower

there's not a way to get to the Lost Woods from the original entrance. The depths path is the "intended" way

Weirdly, there are several pillars in the depths that let you ascend up out of the deepths. But the Lost Woods one is the only one I've come across that actually leads to somewhere notable. The rest seem to kick you out into more random spots

    Thoughts so far:

Love it. It's so significantly better than BOTW it just doesn't seem possible. Crazy to even think about what they'll do with the next Zelda. Maybe a first person adventure through a dark woods. Who knows. Anyway.

I just beat the Fire Temple which is the only thing in the game that legitimately frustrated me. I liked the concept, but thought the execution was horrible. I really like the Goron dude that helps you out and his ability. His voice acting was not great, but I just muted it haha. The boss was really fun! I loved that it was a new version of Gohma.
The most enjoyable part of my experience so far has been just doing small little side things. I am bummed a lot of the rewards are super unexciting/useless like zonite or whatever which I have an abundance of. But there's some cute little side adventures that are just worth doing because they're silly or whatever.

The story actually exists and is pretty decent/standard, this time around. The voice acting, once again, is all over the place with Zelda's being particular egregious. I thought the Goron sage in the dream thing was really great! I barely ever use a horse because I'm way too busy climbing for that haha.

Listen, it's just real simple. Turn on Japanese voice acting.

I kind of deduced this was the case after every single direction sends you back to the start. I hadn’t even tried going via the depths yet, but I just figured it would be one/the only solution once I got down there and scoped it out.

Theres one that sends you up to the lab in Akkala. Not really helpful to the player, but I assumed this was a loose explanation for that being the Yiga’s hideout and how some of them are still on the surface.

Oh fuck. I didn't even know it had that. I honestly was so bummed out by it that I usually just mute my game when they talk haha

Well, I finished the game. Hell of an ending. Now to sulk for 6 years or until whenever the next one comes out.

Probably controversial but BOTW is the better game imo. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that I played BOTW a ton and it’s the same foundation that game was built on with a lot of the same mechanics. TOTK is still my favorite game I’ve played in a long time though.
