they're 1,000% not worth fighting and the stuff you get from phantom ganon really isnt either. if you can run, run.

They drop great weapons. I love the bow on its own. The other weapons will take away hearts via gloom on their own. However, if you fuse them to other weapons the effect goes away and you have powerful weapons. It doesn’t take that many bomb arrows to take out the hands. It’s worth it, IMO.

Gloom Hands are easy as long as you have bomb arrows.

the fact that I can't do everything needed to upgrade my batteries at one location is a weird choice

If you beat gloom hands you'll get gloom clumps then can beat Shadow Ganon to get some of strongest weapons in the game, the Demon King Bow and Gloom Sword.

What? Do you mean get crystals and upgrade battery? I think you can on the great sky island. But I always went around different forges in the depths and then hit up the battery dude at lookout landing.

basically yeah I just wish i could do all of that at the Lookout Landing spot

  8. I think the battery stuff is more complicated than it needs to be. Just let me trade raw Zonaite for the upgrades. The crystalized charges aren't used for anything other than battery upgrades (to my knowledge) so it just feels like currency conversion.

i never ever got a gloom sword until the round of 10 phantom ganons in the castle. Always just a demon bow.

I don't understand the battery thing so I just don't do it.

i ignored the battery for a long time too but it was a mistake, grind for that zonaite. i have almost 7 batteries full now and it's incredibly useful borderline crucial to exploring the sky.

    To a degree I agree. I’d say:

But in the early game, this set up makes you to make some choices on how you play. If you get auto build early and use zonaite to do it, it’ll make you choose between that or exchanging for crystals. I think it comes down to how you play and prioritize.

yeah don't expect to get much of anywhere in the sky without going hard on batteries tbh

You can always just use batteries from the ball machine. So many ways to do things.

I dunno, I've been making pretty good progress with what I've got, but then again, I've been using Zonai charges when necessary.

This too. Big Batteries are a godsend.

i'm an item hoarder in any game i play, so i have so many zonai batteries saved up that i will likely never use. i have to break that habit eventually

    use the charges for dispensers

    use the zonaite for batteries

Don't batteries throw off the balance for something like a hover bike?

I couldn't answer that as I've never used one.

Their weight does make a small difference. I’ve never had it be anything dramatic. But flying on something and left and right have a battery, then the first goes. You will start to drift toward the side with the battery still. Just gotta slightly course correct.

Did more Gerudo stuff today. Made it to the stable just outside the desert proper, and stopped in the shrine there.

I did do the shrine that required the bananas. It wasn't that bad. I just used the Skyview Tower to fly to each point. The annoying thing was having to deal with two Taluses along the way.

Outskirt Stable. I had been there before but ignored the walls. I'm always in a rush. You miss things in this game when you don't look around or talk to everyone.
