Looking forward to this but it is a shame it isn't getting a full theatrical release, looks like the kind of film that due to its length needs the right environment to be able to fully immerse yourself in the film and the cinema has always been the best place for that.

I think it is Frank Caliendo.

I also think it is funny that everyone's dad remembers Joe Pesci from Raging Bull and Goodfellas but everyone under the age of 35 or so were first exposed to him through Home Alone.

I was very skeptical of this, because it sounded like Scorsese was going back to the well (gangster film, DeNiro, Pesci, and Keitel). Even Pacino, who despite not appearing in a Scorsese film before, felt like stunt casting, as it would only be the third time DeNiro and Pacino worked together and only the second time anyone would want to watch it. It felt like an overreaction to the dismissal of Silence, as time and time again Scorsese has been rewarded for going back to what he is famous for (The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street). Not that those films were bad, but Scorsese films can roughly be divided into Movies Your Dad Wants to See and his more adventurous, artistic endeavors.

Increasingly, though, this seems like it might be a great cap to a career. Almost all of these people are still working, but given their ages, as well as Pesci being otherwise retired, this might end up representing the end of an era.

I kind of love that that goofy-ass picture is being used for every tweet about this movie.

 

That theater is gorgeous. Wish I could make it up.
