Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

didn't think of this angle, just that it might be a harmless bit of fun shock value for users to wake up to hundreds of notifications. sorry, Jake:-/

I do feel this record gearing up to come back into my heavy rotation. Something about the months of April - June just makes me want to listen to this band a ton.

I mean personally I was awake clearing notifications as it happened so it didn't affect me but everyone was acting all weird about people being annoyed this morning when it was valid. It's not that deep tho we can move on

I don't think that's what those posters were trying to say tbh but I could be wrong

But I would never say people who don't like something simply don't get it, it's possible and valid to not like something and get it

Yeah it's just anecdotally speaking I've shown this band and album to plenty of people who aren't die hard music followers and everyone I've introduced them to have latched on immediately, so I think the problem is that it's confined to a niche scene when it deserves to be everywhere

Also, though I don’t agree that the album is hard to get, necessarily, I don’t think it can so easily be summed up as a standard pop/rock record.

When you consider the presentation, themes, album cover, coordinates being used for 3 song titles, the opener being a shakily delivered poem, and the fact that the record really doesn’t kick into gear until 3 minutes in, you can understand what might make it stand out and turn some heads initially.

Of course these are just my thoughts on the matter. I’m not an authority on complex music or anything.

coordinates as song titles isn't that weird though?

and the themes are pretty universal, the only inaccessible things are the poem and cover but even those are easy to digest

My argument was that I don’t think it should be pidgeonholed into that particular category of music. When I think pop/rock I think of All Time Low and their ilk. When I consider this record I don’t think simple and straightforward. That is all.

I’m at a benefit and drinking a bit and someone said something about an emo night and I said “I’m only going if they play all of goodness”

    Ya cool story

if you look at the songs themselves they're pretty straightforward though, really accessible stuff. Pop rock makes me think of jimmy eat world. I think their influence is clear here

Be careful, peoples heads will spin from confusion. And others will say it’s like listening to Imagine Dragons. In the end we will all end up listening to A7X anyway.

I get all that and I know that you know and you know that I know the truth. I guess I’m suggesting now that without someone putting someone onto it, it might be something someone overlooks and thinks is weird initially before taking the full dive.
