I know Spotify removed the interludes from the album of my uploaded version (before it was actually available on Spotify) a week after the release and it really made some parts feel weird. Specifically the transition from Opening Mail to Soft Animal. That being said I feel Fear of Good of good does feel like an interlude.
As someone who recently become very afraid of death (various family members and pets have died who've I've known my whole life) this album has been the most therapeutic thing for me. It has helped me put things into perspective and allow me to appreciate life again. I feel like I am in high school again and I sit and over-analyze every word on the album. I think every song has such a weight to it that a lot of (great) music today is missing. I never thought I'd come to like any album more than Home but due to the subject matter, I feel this has become one of the most important albums in my whole life and it's only been out 3 months.

You In This Light is a jam and I love it, I'm in disbelief that it could be on anyone's lower end.
Also yeah this is really not the same album if you make any sort of subtractions -- can't take off the interludes. I think I remember people wanting to replace Goodness Pt 2 with Pt 1 or replacing new Settle the Scar with the old one and am balking very hard at the idea of that once again. It's like that alternate Devil and God track list to me, just all kinds of fucked. It's not that serious, but can't account for yr feelings hah

I don't really get that from it. It's a good little rock jam, it's a great song . It's just my least favorite of the other songs.

Fear of Good is incredible and if it's an interlude it's the best interlude I've ever heard

When I said Piano Player was my least favorite, I forgot that You In This Light existed. I actively dislike that song.

Also, all the interludes (including Fear of Good) are fantastic in my book.

i mean, I love the song it just isnt my favorite. Its probably my least favorite song from Home and Goodness not counting Housebroken (although viewing Housebroken as an anti-cop song has elevated it in my eyes but I still totally acknowledge its problematic interpretations and fully support the band for taking it out of setlists and addressing the issues with it).

Barring lyrics, housebroken just isn't a great song

You know what is though? You in This Light

You in this light is one of their most original songs imo

I feel completely opposite. Lyrics aside, the music of Housebroken is very good and much better than YITL

Name a song that follows the structure or even sounds like you in this light from this scene. The super high vocals over very 90s sounding guitar chords which are also really 4thy and susy which is cool. I don't know how you could say it doesn't at least sound original

Just want to add it's completely cool that you don't like it; but to say it's the opposite of original is to say the songs generic and I just can't agree with that lol
