just got some of this and it surprisingly packs a punch. pretty good stuff

 

I really wanna try the Tabasco Scorpion, so that is good to hear. Flavor is still tabasco-y I imagine?

 

Tried an apple garlic habanero sauce this weekend and woooooow

 

Yeah, it's still kinda tabasco-y, but a little thicker and A LOT hotter. I'm actually really surprised at the heat level for such a mainstream sauce, but I guess the Scorpion isn't as mainstream. It's not all heat though, it is fairly tasty.

 

Yeah I never see it around here in any stores and I've had it in my Amazon cart for some time now. Was waiting to see if it would ever drop down to around 10 bucks.

 

I was lucky enough to find it on manager's special at Kroger for $2.99 - I don't know what it normally sells for, or how difficult it is to find, but for $3 I'd probably try any flavor of Tabasco that I haven't already had.

 

Oh wow! We have nothing outside of regular, jalapeno, and chipotle at our krogers. It's 15 for a bottle of scorpion on Amazon.

 

I've never seen it a Kroger before, which is maybe why it was on clearance, maybe they got a shipment and don't normally stock it or something?!?!

I dunno. I'll look the next time I go and see if they have any on the regular shelf.

The regional distribution also seems to vary for Kroger. I know that some have Bravado sauces? We literally have the most basic selection.

 

Kroger is my go to grocery store, but I've found for hot sauces, Albertsons/Tom Thumb/Simon David (I think they're all owned by the same company) has the best selections around here.

 

Similarly, Kroger is our home base and Fresh Market is where we go for like special trips and hot sauce.

 

I recently made the switch from Kroger to Albertson's for regular grocery store shopping, no regrets

 

Eh, I'm pretty loyal to Kroger. I get a kick out of digging through the manager's specials and never knowing what (stupid thing I don't need) I'll find.

Besides, there's only like one Albertsons anywhere near me and it's still not that convenient.

 

I'm just really lazy and don't like bagging my shit, and Kroger always has me bag my shit

I always go to the self checkout because I'm crazy and go to the store every few days and just buy what I need as I go, so it's only a few items. I rarely do a "full" grocery shop. But I've never seen them not bag groceries for people. That's kinda wild.

 

That's what's crazy, they definitely have people who bag groceries there! They just never ever bag for us hahaha. We pretty much always do full shops and I'm bad at grouping so it becomes a major inconvenience

But I really miss Kroger prices

 

I know it's a super common sauce but tried Hank's Herb Infused this weekend on a taco bowl and it was delectable.

 

Yeah Kroger's prices are pretty good, especially if you use the app and fuel points and all that shit. My parents shop there too, but buy gas at Sam's so I've linked their phone number to my Plus card and get all their points too so it's really nice.

Still riding the Hank train, but I drizzled their Honey Hab on a cauliflower pizza last night and wowie zowie.

 

Was finally able to snag a bottle of The Last Dab. It's the reaper edition instead of pepper x but whatever, I was tired of dancing around it for so long.

 

I tried a wing that had been fully sauced in Last Dab a few weeks back and oh boy was it warm.
