Definitely agree, but I absolutely love the tone. The music is fantastic, imo.

Started with Halloween decorations today. The horror movies are flowing.

Saw Don't Breathe tonight and really enjoyed it but...

I've read some reviews that think a sequel will be made because the veteran survived. How does that make any sense? He's blind. The only thing he knows about Rocky is that she is a female. She moved from Michigan to California at the end.

There is absolutely no way that he can track her down. He doesn't have a fortune left for a new idiot crew to steal. What would be the point of a sequel?

people always think there is going to be a sequel if the antagonist lives when it seemed like they died

  8. I actually really enjoyed Holidays. I know they're uneven, and often style over substance, but...anthology films just have a way of charming me. This one was much weirder than I was anticipating, and I really liked that.

    Anyone up for a game?

If you could put together a team of movie/tv characters (must be completely human), to help you survive in a post apocalyptic world, who would you choose and why?

after giving it some time I've warmed up on it a bit. The first two segments put me in a negative headspace while watching, because Valentine's Day was just obnoxious and St. Patrick's Day was bizarre nonsense. Easter was the scariest but I didn't love it, Mothers Day was really forgettable, and of course Halloween was awful. Basically Fathers Day was excellent, and Christmas and New Year's were both pretty good.

John McClane (Die Hard), Alice (Resident Evil), Chuck Noland (Cast Away), Dr. Doogie Howser (Doogie Howser, M.D.), Lara Croft (Not Angelina Version), and myself.

    Because I like them all.

Okay so there was this horror movie I used to watch as a kid involving a group of kids/teens and like a portal that opens up inside a house? I think? I'm 99% sure it's not The Gate but something similar. Any ideas? Am I making it up?

What does the portal look like? I just remembered the black portals that sucked people through in Poltergeist III but that takes place in a high-rise apartment building.

lol if my fucked up memory is accurate, I remember the setting being a house, and the portal or whatever almost being in a loft that overlooks the living room? Like the characters were on the bottom floor, looking up and seeing the portal on the second floor

I'm watching In the Mouth of Madness for the first time and I love it so much.

Speaking of John Carpenter, going to recommend Prince of Darkness for the umpteenth time to anyone who hasn't seen it.
