There's lots of pepperoni pizzas out there, and they can all be described as "a pizza with pepperoni on it", but that don't mean they're all of the same quality

Yea that's true. I guess my point is that with the amount of movies with the same type of payoff, it's hard to find something that is original and that I really care about.

The cult aspect of The Invitation felt like an afterthought, especially since it was only mentioned and there wasn't any sort of ritualistic aspect to the intended killings. You could have removed the cult stuff and replaced it with simply a jealous ex and her new lover agreeing on killing a few people and the outcome would have been the same.

The most interesting part was during the final couple of minutes when you get that revelation of the nearby people participating in the same events.

Also, The Invitation tried it's hand on the scale of boring to slow burn, teetering both ways.

Looks like Don't Breathe is getting some solid reviews, can't wait -- hopefully making it tonight.

Don't Breathe is solid; solid direction, music, etc. -- and takes an even creepier turn.

Glad to hear it! I'm looking forward to moving back to the city at the end of the month so I can see more movies theatrically. The last horror movie my town theatre had in was The Conjuring 2

We rarely get scary movies at our theater but we are getting Don't Breathe so I'm excited. Trying to get my dad to go with me. He wants to see it but I've brought it up a few times and we never settled on it for sure so idk!

Don't Breathe is pretty great, but I feel like the twist part of it about was kind of unnecessary.

There is something unique about Clive Barker's horror where everything is just plain evil.

I've thought of this, but since I finally got Kodi installed on my Fire Stick, I haven't had the need to download or watch anything on any other service.

Not to mention that two of the largest torrent sites (kickass and torrentz) have shut down. Only Pirate Bay and Extra Torrent remain and they aren't too great right now.

i have a private torrent account so i have access to anything and everything, but it's still nice for the convenience of being able to stream something at a moments notice. i've also found quite a few gems on there that i wouldn't have watched otherwise.

I've been waiting for Lights Out, Don't Breathe and Swiss Army Man to show up but they haven't yet. Sometimes you'll get one of those Asian screeners that are like 720p but with hardcoded subtitles.

  20. I watched They Look Like People. There are some interesting aspects, but I don't see myself ever watching it again.
