I haven't encountered that yet, but when I was watching Eli Roth's History of Horror halfway through an episode the screen would shrink and as if I want to watch the next episode. I'm like, I do... but I still got 20 minutes in this one haha

worth it haha. i drove an hour 20 just to see the Apollo 11 documentary in IMAX, just found a few things around that area and made a day of it.

SERIOUSLY. I'll go back and rewatch single movies from the JBB marathons and the fucking thing cuts off and starts the next movie up right in the middle of the joke he tells at the very end of each segment. Every time he sets the joke up and the screen shrinks and the countdown starts and he is always just about to get to the punchline and then it cuts away

Overlord was very tight. Now I wish i saw it in IMAX.

It does exactly that but instead of just staying small it goes to the next episode in like ten seconds. I don’t know if there’s a setting to change it but wow is it the worst. I’ve been watching things I’ve seen so far but when I get to new stuff it will be even more infuriating.

i definitely wish all streaming services would have that in settings, let me keep the auto to the next episode, but let me turn off the skip the credits part

HBO’s is my favorite. You always have the option of skipping to the next episode but it won’t do it unless you click, so you can watch as much or as little as you want.

  9. We watched The Nightingale lastnight. That was a rough one... but in the end I liked it a lot. I was hoping the final act of the movie would turn into Mandy kind of craziness, so I can't say I wasn't a little disappointed. But yeah, still a great movie.

Definitely excited that The Nightingale hit hulu. in the middle of moving so i feel like the only horror i may see this week/weekend is Doctor Sleep on Thursday, but hope to get to it soon.

Some of it almost seems..too much like Mandy though? Maybe it's just the way the trailer is constructed idk haha. I mean aside from the obvious comparisons I guess.

The trivia for this movie is even more bananas than I thought.

Trying again to get through Castle Rock season one before moving on to two, and it’s losing me exactly like it did the first time. The first few are so good and then it just takes these ridiculous turns that I don’t care about at all.

  21. The Lighthouse is every bit as good (and absolutely bonkers) as everyone says it is.

As much as I respect how masterful The Shining is, I really loved Doctor Sleep. Like, this is how I wish I felt about It Chapter Two. This coming from someone who hasn't read any Stephen King...

That was a great double-header, but spoopy season doesn't end until I see The Nightingale.

glad you enjoyed The Lighthouse! it makes me so happy people keep coming back positive about that. Doctor Sleep was so so good!! I really liked IT Chapter 2 and think it was quite good, but I agree, it didn't reach the levels that this did.

Yesterday my double header was finishing the book Lady From the Black Lagoon. fascinating! and so then rewatched Creature from the Black Lagoon and then went and saw Doctor Sleep. Hoping to get to The Nightingale this weekend.

    Spoopy season never ends!!

I'm hopefully going to see Dr. Sleep this weekend! I'm also listening to the audible of Pet Sematary so my spooky season will end with a double feature of both Pet Sematary films.

So far, I've listened to IT on audible and now Pet Sematary both have been incredible. Does anyone have any recommendations for another good Stephen King audiobook?

I agree— the first season tried to have this massive scope, but it only hurt the narrative drive. I was just confused by the end. Only on episode 4, but the second season has been consistent so far.

I’m finally powering through but it’s been tough. I think it’s worth it to finally see The Queen at least. Pretty outstanding episode of television despite the rest of the show. Sissy is such a blessing.
