Are You Afraid of the Dark? was great, love how they introduced TMS.

Watching Tales of Halloween and Trick R Treat tonight.

Also just finished the first episode of In Myers We Trust... It's a marathon, but I love it and am excited for the rest..

I agreed with every single TMS test choice that she went for and it endeared me to her instantly.

  3. Totally feel this, except for maybe the bad news part. I've been in a funk for like a week, for no apparent reason other than my brain doesn't want to make the happy chemicals. Was so pumped for a horror movie a day when the month started, then ughhh

So I'm watching Teen Titans on DVD instead of Hannibal because it's lighter, except I just remembered that this kid's show can also get dark at times, so...

But I'm feeling better! Probably gonna continue with the horror movies over the weekend. The Addams Family counts as horror, right? haha

But it feature one of my first crushes that would be the foreshadow to my questionable taste, skeet Ulrich!

I still hate that it’s called that, but it sounds great.

I had no idea that it was hitting Hulu. Thought it was being released in theaters in November haha

Oh yeah, definitely. Don't Look Now is a perfect example of that, the sex scene in that had UK and US censors in uproar -

As for my film of the day, I watched Night of the Creeps last night and while hardly the most sophisticated and original film it nonetheless made for a completely fun, engrossing and entertaining time. Whether intentional or not I was laughing to the point of crying at the opening scene and it just got more enjoyable as it revelled in the genres it was homaging plus it was fun noticing that most of the characters have the last names of famous directors that have made horror films. Highly recommend it if you are after something that isn't serious, is mostly well made and has been and gone before you can judge it too harshly.

It is my favourite horror film and has been for a long time, third favourite overall.

The Return of the Living Dead is easily one of the best horror films from the eighties, not many other horror films from that decade I would rate higher and it was a joy to once again revisit it. A perfect mix of comedy and horror to the point that it puts many purely comedic films to shame while having a superb score/soundtrack and fantastic practical effects.

Getting caught up on a few horror releases I missed earlier this year. Annabelle Comes Home was better than I expected it to be, while my girlfriend hated it despite being a bigger fan of the conjuringverse.

    Brightburn is up next

Wish a central element of Brightburn wasn’t Brian stalking and harassing a girl he thinks is cute then lashing out in violence when she rightfully doesn’t wanna touch him but otherwise very fun. Truck sequence was shockingly graphic

Watched Scream 3 last night and lordy lord do I still love all of these movies. Even if that is the least praised, I still enjoy it. Parker Posey makes me laugh too much. Neve's wig stands out a lot more than I remembered though. Her hair almost never moves in her scenes.

Never thought I'd have an opinion on something like the Ghoul Log (on Shudder) but I definitely prefer the outdoors one.

Scream 3 might actually be my favorite of the series. Hot take, I know, but it’s just so much fun.
