Should I watch some good old classics to kick this month off or finally watch hereditary?

Watched Happy Death Day and Drag Me To Hell today. Was my first time watching HDD, and the wife and I really enjoyed it. The second one worth watching too?

 

Yeah this is the really the only acceptable answer. Hereditary if almost required viewing for any horror fan.

 

It was enjoyable, luckily it didn’t follow the same formula as the first

 

Oh yeah, the sequel is a blast too

 

I bought this movie over a year ago and have been too nervous that it won't meet the hype.

Never seen Hereditary, but it’s on my list for this month. Might try to dive into it this weekend.

 

I had to stop for the night. Shit is too much lol.

 

I need to watch it again, but I lost my grandmother a few months ago and I don’t know if I can take seeing that grief right now. Could be cathartic but could also open things back up.

 

I would recommend not doing that. Definitely opened things back up for me anyway.

 

No other horror movie has affected me quite like hereditary since I first watched the shining as a youngling

Watched Body Bags for the first time, such a strange little thing.

 

The new Creepshow show on Shudder just looks so cheap and shitty. What a disappointment.

I’ve already fallen behind by a day :(

I’ve done The Shining, Suspiria (remake), and Hereditary so far. I’ve loved all three. Suspiria was the only new one so far, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I definitely didn’t feel it’s long run time, and it felt like it’s own movie, not trying to ride the coat tails of the original. I know it has its haters, but I feel like it’s one of the better remakes I’ve seen.

 

Watching Marianne on Netflix and for fuck sake, not looking in the corners of any rooms ever again.

 

Haunt was a good time

 

Got the directors cut of Midsommar. Saw the movie in theater and I've been wanting to give it a second watch. Not really horror imo but some of the scenes have really stayed with me, especially the phone call scene that starts the credits.

 

Well yeah lol but it’s crazy how cheap it is. Like the one segment I watched looked like it was filmed in someone’s yard and basement. Plus, for having a VFX legend in Greg Nicotero working on your show, you’d think the VFX would be better but nah.
